The summer holidays are long, and eating out with my boys can add up fast. The good news: dozens of restaurants and cafés across the UK are offering free or seriously discounted children’s meals right now. Here’s every deal I could track down for summer 2026, in one place.
A quick note before you dive in: the government temporarily cut VAT on children’s meals from 20% to 5%, running 25 Jun – 1 Sep 2026, YIPEEE. That’s why you’ll spot odd prices like 88p where deals used to cost a flat £1.
Always check the offer still covers your local branch before you go.
1. Purezza
One free mini pizza per full-paying adult.
Age: under 10.

2. Franco Manca
One free individual kids’ pizza per full-price adult main meal.
Age: 12 and under.
3. Burger & Lobster
Up to two free children’s meals per adult main.
Age: under 12.

4. The Banc
One children’s meal for £1.

5. Kricket
One free children’s meal from the Little Kricket menu per adult main, at all Kricket restaurants (Brixton, Canary Wharf, Shoreditch, Soho and Covent Garden). Shoreditch also does a kids’ breakfast thali.

One free children’s meal per adult booking the Anatolian Breakfast (£27.90 per person, minimum 2 people). Advance booking essential.

Children eat free from their specially designed children’s menu, when an adult orders at least two courses (including a main) from the à la carte menu.

One free full Churrasco Experience per paying adult for under-8s, at every location. Ages 8-14 get the same experience for £13.90 this summer, down from £15.90.

Dates: every day for the under-8s offer; the £13.90 price runs for the summer 2026 VAT reduction period.
12. Ace Pizza at Pembury Tavern
One free kids’ pizzetta (plus an ice cream scoop) per 12″ pizza ordered.

13. Asda Café
£1 kids’ hot meal deal (or a £1 cold pick ‘n’ mix: sandwich, drink and fruit) for children under 16, with no minimum adult spend required. Available in over 205 Asda cafés nationwide.

One free kids’ meal per paying adult, for kids 11 and under. Older kids (12-19) get a free ice cream with a Cheeseburger at Sam’s Waterside, or a Smash Burger, fries and an ice cream sandwich for £14 at Sam’s Kitchen.

Dates: Sun to Fri. The offer banner on Slug and Lettuce’s own site says 20 Jul – 1 Sep 2026, but the small print at the bottom of the same page says 20 Aug – 1 Sep 2026, so it’s worth confirming with your local venue before you go.

Prices, dates and participating branches change often, so it’s always worth checking directly with the restaurant before you set off. This list covers the big national chains; plenty of independent local cafés and pubs run their own free-meal deals too, so keep an eye on their social media over the holidays.
