100+ THINGS FOR FAMILIES TO DO IN LONDON, KENT AND THE HOME COUNTIES THIS SUMMER 2026

The school holidays are almost here. Six weeks stretch out ahead, and it helps to have a few ideas ready before the “what shall we do today?” questions start.

This summer, London has a free Toy Story immersive experience, Everyman’s summer pop-ups are back, and mini geniuses get to take over a lab with some cool science experiments. Kent has the Little People, BIG DREAMS: Inspiring Women Trail from the bestselling books, and the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course lands in Bluewater. Across the Home Counties there are Pokรฉmon play zones at National Trust estates and a brand new LEGO Festival at Windsor. Some of it is free. Some of it needs booking well in advance. Between them, there is usually something nearby worth the trip, whatever the weather and whatever the budget.

Take your pick and enjoy the summer.

Guide covers the England school summer holidays, running approximately 18 July โ€“ 06 September 2026.
