Camp Roarsome at Calcot

Check us out Glamping in the Cotswolds. This is our first time on a Skoolie Staycation / Glamping.

When I saw Dinoski’s School Bus Staycations, I was so excited. I could hardly contain myself. I tell you, these adventures/experiences are for me as much as they’re for Avery and Levi.

Okay, so Dinoski is hosting Roarsome Adventures until 31 October. There are still a few weekdays available, and you can sign up for cancellations if weekends become available. 2022 bookings ar enow also open too. These are the same guys behind Dinoski Wear.

Now, the exciting stuff, Roarsome Adventures has teamed up with Shred and Butta to create some exciting family staycations, with three buses to choose from:

  1. The Yellow Original Bus
  2. The Magic Green Bus
  3. The Stargazing Red Bus

The Red Bus is the latest Skoolie Conversion from Dinoski and was our home for the last three nights. The bus has a chalet inspired interior and a white roof to fit into its ski theme. Think reclaimed wooden bunks, campfires, 220 acres of the English countryside and a whole lot more.

The only things the bus didn’t have was a sink, toilet and shower. Outdoor showers are just around the corner from the bus. However, these were not working, so we had to use the hotel’s spa showers during our stay.  The Gum Stool Inn’s toilets are available 24 hours of the day. We also brought our My Carry Potty as quick access for the boys. All dishwashing is completed for us by the hotel staff.

Everything we needed and more was provided in utensils, daily water (sparkling and still), coal, logs, hobs, heating, loads of sockets, pillows and mattress protectors. You just need to bring your bedding/sleeping bags.

This is not your conventional camping experience. It was BRILLIANT. If you want a hybrid between Glamping and the comfort of a family-focused luxury hotel, this is a perfect concept and WINS! The bus was so comfortable, and the space was much more than I anticipated. The support we received before we got to the bus, to the service we received on-site was perfect. Plus, the bespoke treasure hunt for Calcot is such a great way to explore the grounds.

We also received a copy of the Dinoski Book of Mini Adventures; Avery and Levi LOVE IT! They can choose their characters and adventures, so it offers something different each time we read it. You can tell the guys at Dinoski have mastered their craft. Everything is thought through, and they have created something for every family member to genuinely enjoy.
