Family at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore

We booked our trip to Singapore three years ago, and we only just made the trip last month. What is it they say? ‘Delay is not denial’, and I can wholeheartedly agree.

We decided to spend a week in Singapore and another week in Bali. We split our time in Singapore in half, with the first four days before we flew out to Bali and the latter three on our return.

We stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, located along Orchard Boulevard. For those from the UK, Orchard Boulevard is like your Oxford Street of Singapore. So, it is fair to say you are in good company.

See, I am very much of the belief that luxury holidays and hotels can still be on the cards with children, and this is not something I am keen to trade in just yet. At the same time, it is essential that where we stay can accommodate the needs of our family. Well, the Four Seasons did just that, and they exceeded our expectations and more.

The gentleman warmly greeted us at the front desk; the boys are often shy when they encounter someone new for the first time. Well, he came bearing gifts, little Lion soft toys. Children and animals, it’s a win! Check-in was prompt- as it should be when dealing with families with young children.

We were allocated the Executive Suite; I could not have chosen a better room if I had tried. It had a king bed and a sofa bed with doors separating the bedroom from the living room- this was perfect as I believe it so crucial for Hubby and me to have our own space even when we are on holiday with the boys. However, I prefer that they are not too far away for safety.

The suite was very much in line with the rest of the hotel’s contemporary design with soft muted tones and bold accents like burgundy. Most importantly, it was clean and well-kept. We were provided with all the amenities you would expect, but cute pieces for the boys caught my attention. They had their toothbrushes and toothpaste, bath wash and shampoo, they had these mini slippers and robes- oh my goodness, it was so adorable. They were so happy to have their ones as they always ask why they don’t get one.

Talking of amenities for children, there is a swanky Family Pool on the 20th floor. You essentially have the pool allocated to families for the whole day instead of specific sessions. This was fantastic as the boys loved it. There were plenty of loungers, cabanas and even a poolside swing. Oooh, and there are plenty of floats, different shapes, and sizes, in the box behind the bar.

Breakfast was fresh and fab; they had all the boys’ favourites, and there was nothing too much for the staff. They even had a kid’s station; after the first night, the boys were right at home and knew where everything was. Children under 6 eat FREE with paying adults. This is perfect as you would want to check out the One-Ninety Restaurant. Also, the Garden at the One-Ninety is the ideal oasis. Four Seasons is home to Singapore’s one and only Nobu Restaurant.

The team at Four Seasons had curated a beautiful itinerary for us so we could enjoy the hotel facilities and some of Singapore’s attractions. We decided to visit Gardens by the Bay (12 mins drive), Marina Bay Sands and the ArtScience Museum (10 mins drive) during our stay. This is the perk of being so centrally located; everything is in such great proximity, and it makes all the difference when travelling with children.

For us, it was vital that we were in the heart of the city and away from the hustle and bustle. Four Seasons Hotel Singapore gave us just that. We had the personal touch of a boutique hotel with the experience of a well-known and refined brand. I agree that travelling with children can be challenging, so we cannot afford to compromise on other aspects of our travel, such as our accommodation. It was a bittersweet situation leaving the Four Seasons; the staff made us feel home away from home. We were comfortable and honestly did not want to leave.

We look forward to returning to Singapore and staying at the Four Seasons again, and I honestly cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Let me know if you have any questions.
