Zippos Circus is back on the road following a break due to COVID-19 with the Big Top tour ‘Rebound’! Starring a diverse cast of thrilling artists from around the globe. The tour started on 4 August 2020 and runs until the end-October 2020.
We had a fun evening out, filled with so much laughter. This was our first time to the Circus. None of us has ever been to one.
COVID- 19 Measures
Zippos Circus have been awarded the Visit England ‘We’re Good to Go’ Industry Standard mark. This verifies that their Circus has met the Government and public health guidance on COVID-19 and that they have the required health and safety processes in place to ensure we have a safe and enjoyable time at Zippos Circus.
Face masks are surprisingly is not compulsory; on the basis, no one is facing each other. Capacity has been significantly reduced as we were all adequately spaced out.
Our Experience
The show itself was chilled, which is precisely what we needed with everything that is going on around us right now.
I must say the show and acts were way modern than I imagined, in terms of the music and just the whole delivery. There wasn’t anything overly cringe-worthy. I love diversity too with the Afro and Caribbean pieces also.
Levi was gyrating to the beat, and Avery’s eyes were glued to the stage, especially at the fire and motorcycle scenes. We have to watch him like a hawk. To ensure he doesn’t try such at home, lol.
The show features burlesque girls, probably more comedic as opposed to provocative- which I guess is the norm in a Circus show. Hubby kept covering Avery, and Levi’s faces, which was hilarious and Avery would then try and cover my face too.
Overall it was a light-hearted show, which we all enjoyed. The fact it wasn’t too busy, just made it an excellent environment for us given we have young children. There were so many other families also.
